Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing have just revealed their new hypercar, an innovative vehicle that debuts under the codename AM-001 RB.
It is the product of cooperation, unique innovation between British luxury brand and the F1 team. It is an ambitious collaboration, uncompromising and totally extraordinary that combines vision and skills of two leading brands in the world who only seek to create a road car as never before seen.
Among those responsible for the ambitious project we met Adrian Newey, technical director of Red Bull Racing, Marek Reichman, and F1 designer David King, executive vice president of AM and general and creative director.
Built around a structure of lightweight carbon fiber, the AM-001 RB has a truly radical aerodynamics and unprecedented levels of downforce and best of all, within the legal field for driving on the streets.
Thanks to the design genius Newey, much of this downforce is generated through aerodynamics under the ground, leaving the possibility of developing stunning and elegant lines abroad.
Although the technical details of AM-001 RB will be announced at the time they passed us that the new model mounted an atmospheric V12 high-revving engine. Thanks to this V12 model achieves a ratio of 1 horsepower per 1 kg of weight.
Facilities Aston Martin Gaydon will total between 99 and 150 units including all prototypes and 25 pilot units.
