A few days ago I communicated that the Toyota Yaris will no longer be offered in Spain with mechanical diesel 90 hp 1.4-liter due to low demand. The good performance of the hybrid has caused the small Japanese not interesting with the other mechanics and the firm chose to stop selling it.
Toyota movement is now added selling Mazda leaving the "2" SKYACTIV-D with 105 hp. In this case it's a shame because the engine has excellent performance, consumes very little fuel and also boasts a high level of performance. Not having hybrid, has received the most damage as balanced SKYACTIV-G 1.5 with 90 hp also spends little and doing quite well.
If you like the Mazda2 and you were thinking of buying diesel engine you must hurry to qualify for any of the units that may remain in stock. If you fail to arrive on time, with a lower rate and outstanding performance it is the 1.5 SKYACTIV-G with 115 hp, offering a sensational performance-consumption ratio.
So far we have no news about future similar movements but it is clear that the polyvalent slowly being less interesting with these diesel engines. Its higher price and improved performance make gasoline are few times when you can make profitable acquisition.
