In these moments Renault is introducing in Colombia the new Alaskan, an interesting pick up developed based on the Nissan NP300 Navara to hit the market before the end of the year. It will be built in different parts of the world, including the Nissan plant in Barcelona.
As expected, the exterior design is very similar to the concept and therefore only modifies the front relative to NP300 for the brand image. Premieres grille, headlights with daytime running lights with LEDs features in the latest products of Renault, and a specific bumper.
Already lagging behind the most innovative are the new housings for pilots and trunk lid in which a generously sized diamond looks. No further changes have been made to preserve intact the good load capacity of the back box.
Alaskan Range will consist of the Single Cab, Extended Cab and Double Cab body styles, the latter with a very careful in some finishes that could resemble any 4 × 4 treatment. They may have alloy wheels large, chrome, etc.
Inside the changes they are much smaller and only focus on logos and other small details. Therefore retains the dashboard design seen in the Navara, something that is not negative to enjoy a good quality of realization all.
The amount available includes items such as dual automatic climate control, heated and power seats, seven-inch touch screen, instrumentation with 3.5-inch LCD color, browser, bluetooth, USB port, leather upholstery, wheels up to 18 inches, 360 vision system, access system and keyless start, etc.
The engine range will comprise the 2.3 dCi known in variants with 160 and 190 hp. In addition users may choose between the six-speed manual gearbox or automatic seven, and between the drive system to an axle or the total to four wheels.
The Alaskan will be built in Barcelona for the European market and also in Mexico and Argentina somewhat later. Among the first markets where sales will be precisely Colombia, venue for the world premiere. Before the end of the year will hit European dealerships with prices yet to be confirmed.
